    舍而后能得

    大学云:“知止而后有定,定而后能静,静而后能安,安而后能虑,虑而后能得。”知止、定、静、安、虑、得,这些境界就像是修行的一个个阶梯。玄奘法师把“禅定”又译作“静虑”,乍看不解,细细玩味,便觉有趣。
    擅作发挥,编出个“舍而后能得”,用在我当下的语境里倒是不错:选择太多,反而容易迷茫;认定一个目标,才能够专一地奋斗。只有先舍弃一些机会,才能更好地把握另一些机会,如果保留了多种潜在的可能性,整个人的目标和定位就是模糊的,心态也不容易摆正。这个“舍”,勉强可以算是“知止”的一个方面,这个“得”,虽然够不上“得道”这么高,但于己于心,也算是有所感发,既然由心所发,则亦可谓之有所得也。
    这些天我第一次真正意义上为自己作了个人生选择,不禁惊叹古人的智慧,相隔两千年,有些价值却依然是共通的。
     
    说到《大学》,顺便引一个笑话,摘自南怀瑾先生《原本大学微言》。
    从前有一个乡村里的财主,开了一个家塾,请了两位先生来教书,一位先生带一班学生在楼上,一位先生带一班学生在楼下。楼上楼下,都先教学生读《大学》。楼上的先生教的是,“知止而后有定定,而后能静静,而后能安安,而后能虑虑,而后能得”。啊哟,怎么少了一个“得”字呢?楼下的先生也正在教《大学》,“知止而后有,定定而后能,静静而后能,安安而后能,虑虑而后能……”啊哟,怎么多了一个“得”字呢?有一位学生说,先生,楼上的先生说少了一个“得”字,这位先生一听便说,那好,我们把这个“得”字借给楼上好了!
